I stumbled on your page...cool stuff! I'm having a hard time making my photos larger...can you help me with that? I know blogger has a choice for that...but it still doesn't display as large as I would like it too...

Thanks!

Lawny said...

@Lucy
Hi Lucy what size do you want the images to be ? full width of your posts ?

Anonymous said...

Hi Lawny!

Thanks so much for the info :-) However, I think blogger must have some kind of auto resizer...because I can't find where it allows me to change the pixel height after image.... This is what I see: img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer;" And even after that I kept looking and I couldn't see it :-( I guess blogger doesn't allow for that?
I just know I love the blogs that have large photos displayed...that's what I want...but I can't do it? Thanks so much for your help!

Lucy :-)

I came upon your site and love this template. Thanks for putting it together. I do have one question. Is there a way to change the stuff in pink to a different color without totally redoing the code in the template.

Lawny said...

@Scooter
Yes you can change the colour by finding the following code

#header {
margin:0;
text-align:left;
color:#ff006c;
}
#header a {
color:#ff006c;
text-decoration:none;
}
#header a:hover {
color:#ff006c;
}

the code above is for the blog title colour change the hex code to whatever you want. You can find the rest by doing a search and replace with notepad, FireFox or some simple text editor for the following hex code ff006c just change all of these instances of the hex code to whatever colour you wish

stephanie said...

Hi, how do I change the picture in the header? I tried editing the widget and uploading a photo, but after I save and check my blog, it doesn't work. Is there a certain size I need it to be?

Lawny said...

@stephanie
i did not code the header image widget since i had no image for the header but you could easy modify it to work

Anonymous said...

Great layout!! Probably one of my favorites I've comes across so far.

I was wondering if you knew how I could upload this template without losing all of my gadgets/widgets?? I have a lot of links going on and would hate to have to reinstall all of that ;o) Any help you can give would be appreciated!!

Lawny said...

@Joie De Vivre
you just need to copy all the widget code's to the new template try this post

iambellaluna said...

If you could be so kind as to tell me how to code the header to allow me to upload an image to it, that would be splendid!

I love your template. I'm also curious, but when I put mine in place, I do not have that tool bar under my search box, unless I'm missing something...

Thank you!

Lawny said...

@iambellaluna
it would take too much time to explain how to code the header right now. What do you mean by tool bar under search box ?

Anonymous said...

Love this template; thanks so much for creating it for others. I did go in and change all the pink to blue, with one exception. How do I change the button for the rss feed? Do I need to make my own? And if so, what part of the code do I need replace?

Thanks again!

Lawny said...

@Jordan
yes you can create your own rss feed icon you need to expand widget templates and search for the following code

<span style='float:right;width:30px;height:50px;margin:0 5px 0 0;'>
<a expr:href='data:blog.homepageUrl + "feeds/posts/default"'><img alt='' src='http://i41.tinypic.com/jtuw0i.jpg'/></a>
</span>

replace the image link "http://i41.tinypic.com/jtuw0i.jpg" with your own and adjust the width and height to whatever size your image is

Lawny said...

@Little M
I have lots of site's to work on so i don't really have time to help you out unless you are going to hire me

how do i get the grey box in between posts as the one you have in demo?

Also i am not able to get that navigation stuff...home, about..etc

thank you

Lawny said...

@cosmetic
you need to add a linklist widget leaving the title field empty just below the header for the navigation links to show up I'm not sure what you mean by the grey box in between posts

Tauke Rempah said...

hye..i like your template.and i decided to download this template.but i cant..why?

Lawny said...

@Tauke
Click here to download it what problem are you having ?

A. Spence said...

I like the template, but for some reason, i can't upload an image. I try but the image doesn't appear on the blog.

Lawny said...

@A.Spence
i did not code this to use a custom image in the header however you could modify it if you know CSS/XHTML to work

thx for the nice template.

donna said...

Hello. I am using this template on my site but why is it the navigation bar at the top is not showing?

Lawny said...

@donna
go to the page element tab and add a linklist widget just below the header leave the title field empty in the widget and enter you links in it should show up

donna said...

I did what you said but the nav bar is still not showing. I dont know if i messed it up or what. I added link list element right after the header and added my list of links. No luck:(

Anonymous said...

If ANYONE needs to know how to add an image for your header on this layout visit this site.

http://blogatech.blogspot.com/2007/01/add-custom-header-in-new-blogger.html

It had easy steps to show you how to add the image. All you need to do is use the background url part and thats it. Enjoy!!

Lawny said...

@donna
your blog description is very long and it is pushing the navigation down into an hidden section i will update the template when i get time and post the fixed version here

I really like this template. And I am using it here. http://littlepinkpenguin.blogspot.com/

Only my search bar and rss icon are half cut off. Can I fix this?

Lawny said...

@Holly
since you have downloaded my template from another site the codes will not have the updated version you should download it from here since i have fixed a few bugs enjoy ;-)

Chantel said...

Hi Lawny, I'm working on installing this template for my blog right now. I've searched for months and was so happy to come across this one. I love it!

One question for you: My signature that I already had set up for my blog now has a box/outline around it. Anyway to remove that or does it just not work with this template?

Lawny said...

@Chantel
i have just updated the code for this template with a few bug fixes of course you can remove the outline by adding in line styles to the img tag switch your post editor to html mode not compose and scroll to the bottom and find the following code

<a href="http://www.chantelligence.com" target="_blank"><img src="http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d151/cnew21/chantel_siggy_bevel2-sm.png" alt="chantelligence.com"/></a>

just add border="0" so it becomes

<a href="http://www.chantelligence.com" target="_blank"><img src="http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d151/cnew21/chantel_siggy_bevel2-sm.png" alt="chantelligence.com" border="0"/></a>

Chantel said...

Ok, got it. Thanks. Does this only apply to future blog posts or do I have to manually change this on all my posts that are already published?

One more thing, do you have a help page for re-installing my header? It's PNG file like my signature that a friend made.

Thanks in advance.

Lawny said...

@Chantel
if you want to remove the borders from all posted images find the following CSS code

.post img {
padding:4px;
border:1px solid #e6e6e6;
}

change the border like below

.post img {
padding:4px;
border:0;
}

Lawny said...

@Chantel
sorry this was not coded to add an image to the header via the widget but if you know XHTML/CSS it can easy be done

Chantel said...

Done! Thanks so much. I'm learning a lot from your site and tutorials. :)

You said you updated the code to fix bugs. Do I need to install again? (eeek!)

Lawny said...

@Chantel
yes however it will wipe out your widgets unless you know how to transfer the codes to the updated version i have a tutorial here however it is not easy for a newbie i could do it all but i charge to customise blogger templates

I installed the updated version, only now the blogspot bar is showing accross the top, and it is not showing in the demo and didn't show in the old version. Getting rid of this bar was kind of the whole reason I installed a different theme... How do I fix it?

http://littlepinkpenguin.blogspot.com/

Lawny said...

@Holly
sorry about that i have just updated the code again so it doesn't show the navbar

Chantel said...

RE: Sorry this was not coded to add an image to the header via the widget but if you know XHTML/CSS it can easy be done

My friend had to do the same thing. Find the code to add an image in the header. She is trying to help with my blog now but she can't find where to insert it.

Lawny said...

@Chantel
looks like you managed to do it

Karen said...

Very nice template! I will be using this for my new blog. Thank you!

Karen said...

I forgot where I downloaded your layout, but I have changed it already with your new version. Thanks for the heads up.

Sharli said...

Hey Lawny!

I just downloaded citrus pink and I want to say THANK YOU! I've spent hours looking for the perfect template!

So yeah... you rock!!

Amanda said...

I Love this template. I managed to install it, and even copied the code for my widgets to come over. However, they are too wide. I am used to being able to simply drag the widget to the spot and it resized itself. Is there a place in the code where I tell it where to be on the page and how wide it should be? If so, could you point a newbie like me in the right direction?

Lawny said...

@Amanda
this template is a fixed width with two columns and a wider section above the columns the one you used before might of been a fluid layout but you can modify the widths of the template if you know XHTML/CSS

Rulan said...

You have some great looking templates, but I can't open the files because I don't have any zip software. Do you have a doc with the HTML for people like me to open instead?
Thanks.

Lawny said...

@Rulan
the files are xml documents compressed into a zip file you can get 7-zip for free to extract them if you can't extract them email me with the name of the template you want and i will send you a txt file with the code since you are the first person to say "i can't open the files"

badgirl33 said...

hi Lawny,

I can't open the file either, I get this:

The XML page cannot
be shown the XML petition cannot be shown if Stylesheet is used. Eliminate the mistake and then click on updating or you repeat the process later.

System error: -2146697204 . fault when working on the resource 'http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd'.

I hope you can help, I really love your tempplate :)

Lawny said...

@badgirl33
what browser and operating system are you using? try right clicking the download link and choosing "save link as" in Firefox or "save target as" in internet explorer then extract the file and upload it to your blog

badgirl33 said...

it still tells me the zip file is damaged. I use FF (latest version) and WinXP

Lawny said...

@badgirl33
i have emailed you a copy of the template

Rulan said...

Hi Lawny, I tried 7-zip but for some reason I can't get it to work on my vista pc.

I would like both the Citrus Pink, and also the Chocolate Theme, if thank is possible. Thanks.

Lawny said...

@Rulan
contact me via email and i will send you them

Rulan said...

Lawny said...

Rulan said...

Lawny, thanks for sending me the templates. I have a question. When I installed the Citrus Pink one, the "Home, About, Portfolio, Subscribe, and Achieves, links at the top didn't show up. Where did they go, and how do I get them on there, please?

Rulan

Lawny said...

@Rulan
go to the page element tab and add a linklist widget just below the header leave the title field empty in the widget and enter you links in it should show up

Rulan said...

wow. Thanks Lawny. I am just a learning with this kind of stuff, but thanks to you I got it working.
Thanks again. Love this template.

Rulan said...

I love the layout of Citrus Pink, but have now found that the main colors don't work with my graphite drawings. Can I change the color, or do you have a black template with the same layout?

Sorry to trouble you.

Rulan

Lawny said...

@Rulan
yes you can change colours see this comment

Rulan said...

Thanks Lawny. I just made the whole background black. The pink standsout really well now.
